1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms are a legal agreement between you and Tecknack governing your access to and use of our apps, games, and websites (collectively, the "Services"). By downloading, installing, or using any Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Changes to the services or terms
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of a Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; if we make a material change, we'll provide reasonable notice — for example, through the Service or by updating the "Last updated" date above — before it takes effect. Continuing to use a Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to create an account or use most of our Services without a parent or guardian's involvement. Some Services may be suitable for younger users and, where applicable, include additional protections for children in accordance with our Privacy Policy; where that's the case, the Service's listing will say so, and a parent or guardian's consent is required for the child to use any account or data-related features, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
4. Accounts & sign-in
Where a Service offers an account, you sign in using Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In rather than a separate username and password. You're responsible for keeping your linked Apple or Google credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away at support@tecknack.co.uk if you suspect unauthorized use. You can delete your account at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. License to use the services
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use a Service on a device you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with the applicable App Store or Google Play terms. We and our licensors retain all right, title, and interest in the Services, including all software, designs, text, graphics, and trademarks; nothing in these Terms transfers any of that ownership to you.
6. Acceptable use
When using a Service, you agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from a Service, except where permitted by law.
- Use cheats, bots, exploits, or unauthorized third-party software to gain an unfair advantage in a game.
- Harass, threaten, or harm others, or upload unlawful, infringing, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
- Interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of a Service.
- Use a Service in any way that violates applicable law or the App Store or Google Play terms.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit a Service without our written permission.
7. User-generated content
Some Services let you submit content — such as usernames, messages, photos, or in-game creations ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display it as needed to operate the Service (for example, showing your username on a leaderboard). You're responsible for your User Content and confirm you have the rights to share it. We may remove or moderate User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law, at our discretion.
8. In-app purchases & subscriptions
Some Services offer in-app purchases, virtual currency, virtual items, or subscriptions ("Paid Features"). All Paid Features are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Billing and governed by their respective terms.
- Virtual currency and virtual items have no real-world monetary value, can't be exchanged for cash, and are non-transferable. They're licensed to you for use within the Service only, and may be modified, suspended, or removed if the Service is changed or discontinued.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. We are unable to process cancellations or refunds directly; these must be managed through Apple App Store or Google Play.
- All sales are final except as required by law or by the applicable platform's refund policy.
9. Intellectual property
All trademarks, logos, and brand names used in connection with our Services belong to Tecknack or our licensors. If you believe your intellectual property rights have been infringed by something appearing in one of our Services, contact us at support@tecknack.co.uk with enough detail for us to investigate.
10. Third-party services & content
Our Services may include or link to third-party content, advertising, or services we don't control. We're not responsible for third-party content or practices, and your dealings with any third party are solely between you and that third party.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT A SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or revenue
- Service interruptions or failures
- Unauthorized access to your data
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Tecknack harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of a Service.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to a Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure for us, or for any other reason at our discretion — including discontinuing a Service entirely. You may stop using a Service, and delete your account, at any time. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — such as Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law — will survive.
15. Apple App Store additional terms
If you download the Services from the Apple App Store:
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple
- Apple is not responsible for the Services or support
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or warranty
- Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them
16. Google Play additional terms
If you download the Services from the Google Play Store:
- These Terms are between you and us, not Google
- Google is not responsible for the Services or support
- Google is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them
17. Export compliance
You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations in your use of the Services.
18. Governing law & dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through:
- Negotiation in good faith, and if unresolved
- Courts located in England and Wales
19. General provisions
If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect
- Failure to enforce a provision does not waive our rights
- You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent
- We may assign our rights in case of merger, acquisition, or restructuring
