1. Who this policy covers
Tecknack designs and publishes mobile applications, games, and related websites (collectively, the "Services") across multiple categories on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and other platforms. This Policy applies to every Service we publish, including any Service marketed under a different public-facing app name — in every case, Tecknack is responsible for that Service and for this Policy.
By using any of our Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. Some individual Services may publish a short supplemental notice (for example, if that Service requests location access or is directed at children) — where one exists, it works alongside this Policy, not instead of it.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Basic profile details if you create an account (see Section 6).
- Content you choose to submit, such as support messages, feedback, survey responses, or in-game chat where a Service includes that feature.
- Information you provide when you contact us for support.
Information collected automatically
- Device identifiers, such as Apple's identifiers or the Android Advertising ID, where permitted by your device settings.
- Device and app information — model, operating system, app version, and language.
- App usage and interaction data, such as screens viewed, features used, and session length.
- Diagnostic data, including crash logs and error reports.
- Approximate, IP-derived location (we don't collect precise GPS location unless a specific Service says so and requests that permission separately).
Information from third parties
- If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile information you authorize them to share — typically your name, email address, and a unique identifier. We never receive your Apple ID or Google account password.
- Purchase confirmation data from Apple App Store or Google Play Billing when you make an in-app purchase — we don't receive your full card number (see Section 5).
- Data from analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs integrated into a given Service, as disclosed in that Service's Apple "Privacy Nutrition Label" and Google Play "Data Safety" section.
3. How we use information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Services, and personalize content and features.
- Authenticate your account and process in-app purchases or subscriptions.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Monitor performance, diagnose and fix bugs, and detect or prevent fraud and abuse.
- Understand, in aggregate, how the Services are used so we can improve them.
- Communicate with you about updates, security notices, or support requests.
- Show or measure advertising, where a Service includes ads.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
4. Advertising, analytics & third-party SDKs
Many of our Services use third-party software development kits ("SDKs") for analytics, crash reporting, and advertising — Examples of third-party SDKs we may use include analytics, crash reporting, and advertising providers such as Google Firebase, AdMob, or similar services depending on the app. Each Service's specific SDK partners are disclosed in its Apple Privacy Nutrition Label and Google Play Data Safety section, which we keep up to date as those partners change. These SDKs may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to measure performance, detect fraud, or personalize and measure advertising.
- On iOS: where a Service shares data with a third party for tracking across other companies' apps and websites, we request your permission first through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- On Android: you can manage ad personalization in your device's Google Settings → Ads. We don't use the Android App Set ID for ads personalization.
- Broader opt-outs: you can also opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) or the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org).
5. In-app purchases & payments
Purchases made within our Services are billed and processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Billing — not by us directly. We receive a purchase confirmation (such as the product purchased, price, and a transaction identifier) so we can unlock content or verify a subscription. We never see or store your full card number.
6. Accounts, sign-in & deletion
Where a Service offers an account, you sign in using Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In rather than creating a separate password with us. We receive only the basic profile details you authorize from Apple or Google — we never see your Apple ID or Google password.
You can delete your account at any time directly within the relevant Service (look under Settings → Account → Delete Account), or by submitting a request at support@tecknack.co.uk. When you delete your account, we delete the personal information tied to it, except where we're required to retain certain records — for example, transaction records for tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes (see Section 9). If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account also revokes the associated Sign in with Apple authorization token.
7. Children's privacy
Most of our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of consent in your country). Some Services may be directed to or suitable for children, and where applicable we apply additional protections. Where that's the case, the Service's app store listing and in-app notices will identify it as such, and the following additional protections apply:
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child without verifiable parental consent, except where permitted by law.
- We do not show behaviorally-targeted or interest-based advertising in any Service directed at children, and we limit analytics and advertising SDKs in those Services to ones that support child-appropriate, non-personalized treatment.
- Account creation and social features in child-directed Services are designed to avoid collecting more personal information than necessary.
- A parent or guardian can review, correct, or request deletion of their child's information, or withdraw consent, by contacting privacy@tecknack.co.uk.
- If we learn that we've collected a child's personal information in a way that doesn't comply with applicable law, we will delete it promptly.
8. How we share information
- Service providers who help us run the Services — cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, customer support tools, and payment processing — bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
- Advertising and measurement partners, as described in Section 4, where a Service includes ads.
- Platform providers (Apple, Google) as necessary to operate sign-in, billing, and store distribution.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy or one at least as protective.
- With your consent, or at your direction.
We do not sell personal data as defined under applicable privacy laws.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy — typically for as long as your account is active, plus a limited period afterward for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes. Diagnostic and analytics data is generally retained in aggregated or de-identified form after a shorter period. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
10. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit for sensitive data and access controls limiting who at Tecknack can see personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
11. Your privacy rights & choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for certain processing
- Export your data (data portability)
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
12. International data transfers
Your information may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including where our service providers operate (such as cloud hosting and analytics providers).
We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
13. Third-party links & services
Our Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, SDKs, or services we don't control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one — we encourage you to review them.
14. Legal basis for processing (UK & EEA users)
We process personal data based on the following legal grounds, depending on the context:
- Consent – when you have given clear permission (e.g., tracking or analytics where required)
- Contract necessity – when processing is needed to provide the Services you use
- Legal obligations – when we are required to comply with applicable laws
- Legitimate interests – when processing is necessary for improving and securing our Services, provided your rights do not override those interests
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time as our Services, legal obligations, or practices change. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and where a change is material, we'll provide additional notice — such as an in-app notice or email — before it takes effect.
